The space

The cottage is quaint and comfortable with original part dating back to 1950. This portion is a true lake cottage with original shiplap and pine flooring. The back faces the water with tons of light filled windows! The upstairs has a spacious Owner's Suite with Private 1/2 bath and balcony. The secondary bedroom has queen bed on the first floor for easy access. The cottage is over 1500 Sq feet with plenty of room for you and your friends and family.
We also have a huge driveway that will fit a boat trailer plus a few cars. Our cottage is located right around the corner from the public boat launch!

Please also keep in mind that this is on a lake in the country. There are lake things and country things like small animals and fish.
**There is a large step from original cottage into newer part of cottage. Please watch your step!

Guest access

You'll have access to the entire cottage! You may also use kayaks but will be at your own risk. You must use life vests provided. We are not liable for any injuries.

Additional notes

We supply a starter of few rolls of toliet paper, a roll of paper towels, a few trash liners, sponge, dish soap, body wash/shampoo/conditioner, laundry soap.
**There is a large step from original cottage into newer part of cottage.

Neighborhood overview

The Waneta House is located at the south east side of Waneta lake. It's conveniently situated between Seneca and Keuka Lakes. It's 15 min from Watkins Glen, 15 from Hammondsport, and 20 minutes to Penn Yan. You are walking distance to The Inn on Waneta, and 10 min to Wineries and Arrow Point!

Getting around

You will need a car.

House Rules

Please note that no children should be left unattended in the upstairs bedroom due to outside balcony.
All guests enter the water at their own risk.
NO SMOKING-If this rule is ignored you will be asked to leave and pay a $300 cleaning fee
NO Pets-If this rule is ignored, you will be asked to leave and pay a $150 per day fee.
NO Parties allowed. Only registered guests are allowed to stay overnight. Please adhere to quiet hours after 10 PM
This is a family friendly Cottage.
